Kiwami Drink | Shark Teeth Souvenirs |
Drinking a Kiwami Drink during battle increases the experience points of the character that drank it by 1.2x. The effect of this stacks with any item you have equipped so if you drink this and equip the Ankle Weights and Yakuza Training Gear you can get up to 1.6x experience.
If you eat certain combo meals at specific restaurants in the city, you will have the effect of increasing the experience points earned from the meal combo. One combo meal activates this effect for a single battle and since the cost for making a combo meal can be expensive, it would be best to use this against much stronger enemies.

Upon reaching the midpoint of Chapter 4, you will find yourself entering an area called District 5 where the recommended level and equipment will flash on the screen. If you've already hit this level and have the recommended equipment then you will be able to progress through just fine.
In specific locations around the city, there will be enemies with crown marks called Keepers of the City that appear. Although Keepers of the City are stronger than normal enemies, it would be best to defeat them since they reward more experience points, better equipment, and safe keys.
You can easily defeat strong enemies even in the early stages by fighting them using items such as incendiary grenades which can be purchased at the shop.
Keepers of the City: Crown Enemy Locations
Head to the area in the map to locate the Ankle Weight item.
As mentioned above, a reward for defeating the Crown Enemies near Kiryu's hotel is the Ankle Weight accessory that increases experience points. Aim to get this item as it can really help with farming experience.
At the beginning of the story, we recommend that you increase your level by exploring the city and defeating enemies walking around the city. When you defeat these weaker enemies, they drop weapon-enhancing materials and money, so there are great benefits to fighting these enemies in the early stages.
Opponents who are higher in rank than you are displayed with a pink icon.
For players that have strengthened their weapons to ☆2 or higher, or purchased armor and equipped themselves, the recommended method is to defeat an opponent of a higher rank than you.
While this is the most efficient method in terms of farming experience, there is also a chance of getting defeated by the enemies so be sure to prepare your equipment before taking them on.
The recommended area is around the 5th district beyond the Aloha Bridge in the west of the area, where level 13 enemies will appear. We recommend this area as enemies here reward a lot of experience points that let you level up fast in the early stages of the game.
As you progress through Chapter 5, you will be able to unlock dungeons. Dungeons are great for leveling up as there are rare enemies that can appear such as Keepers of the City. You may also get some items inside that you can use or sell to get money.
While inside dungeons, enemies called Metalworms can appear and defeating them will give you a lot of job experience points. These enemies have high resistance and defense so they may simply run away from your battle.
You can aim to do a Back Attack or Tag Team Attack to deal as much damage as you can to defeat them before they escape.
