Stock Up on Items and Prepare for Battle

Before heading into Chapters 4 and 6, you will receive a warning message like in the image above. Both Chapters will features a series of battle and you will need to prepare your characters to fight. Listed below are the best items you can purchase in the early game that can help you in said chapters.

Best Recovery Items

Item Price Effect Where to Buy
Hop Lei IPA IconHop Lei IPA $3.50 ・MP+70 ・Honu World Market
Hot Dog IconHot Dog $5.00 ・HP+150 ・Kevin's Hot Dogs
Iced Coffee IconIced Coffee $4.50 ・MP+40 ・Morning Joe's
Lemonade IconLemonade $1.00 ・HP+10 ・Aloha Beach Juicery

Make Sure To Have Plenty Of MP Recovery Items

Before heading into District 5 during Chapter 4, be sure to purchase a lot of MP recovery items. HP recovery won't be a issue mainly because of Kasuga and Chitose's ultimate abilities but MP will most likely always be depleted.

We recommend always having items that let you recover MP after each battle and Lemonade is a good item for this since you can get 30 pieces for $1.

Be Careful Not To Get Drunk

While alcohol-based items like Hop Lei IPA recover a large amount of MP, this also increases the level of drunkenness. As your drunkenness increases, your party members will start performing actions by themselves, possibly going against your strategies during fights.

Should this happen, you can either wait for some time to let the drunkenness pass. Alternatively, you can use items such as Turmeric or Iced Coffee to lower your drunkenness.
