You can expand your house by transacting with Kenzo at Matayoshiya. After Day 3 of living on Dondoko Island and increasing your Livability to 500 or more, you can leave your house and a cutscene with Kenzo will take place that leads to the expansion of your home.
How to Increase Hearts (Livability)

Purchasing expansions for your house increases the area where you can place furnishing, allowing you to increase the Livability of your house even further
House renovation will be available when all two stages of house expansion are complete. In exchange for Dokobucks, you can ask for help as many times as you like per day. Remodeling requests at night will not be entertained.
