| 1 | Fight against other Sujimon Trainers in town to reach Rank 35. Battle gold-ranked enemies to level up faster. |

| 2 | You'll receive a mysterious message from Joker telling you to go to Ace's Dojo. |
| 3 | Head to Ace's Dojo. Sodachi will leave your party. |
| 4 | Raise your rank to 40. You'll receive an email from Sujimon Sensei, telling you to go to Ace's Dojo. |
| 5 | Return to the dojo to receive Super Sodachi. |
| 6 | Head to Joker's hideout in the pier area at the southwest corner of the map. Be prepared before you enter, as you'll get into a series of battles without rest. |
| 7 | Defeat Joker's Minions in three consecutive battles. |
| 8 | After defeating his minions, defeat Joker of the Discreet Four. |
| 9 | Head to behind Joker to help Kuraki and Yokawa. Super Sodachi will revert to Sodachi. |
| 10 | Joker will challenge you to a regular battle. Defeat him and his minions to complete the substory. -Afterwards, talk to the Committee Member in front of the gym to receive your Sujimon League Committee Members. |

A lot of the Sujimon in Joker's gym are Nature or Shadow type. Exploit their weaknesses by carrying Blaze and Light Sujimon. Your new Super Sodachi Sujimon is Light type, so make sure to use him.
If you don't have strong Sujimon with high rarity, evolve Sujimon from lower rarity to get stronger ones.
You can get light Sujimon from the gacha in the 1st Discreet Four gym, while you can get blaze Sujimon from the gacha in the 3rd Discreet Four gym.
You can draw gachas for the same price and ticket as regular gachas, so collect tickets by fighting against Sujimon trainers.
You can rematch Gym trainers that you have fought previously. These trainers give more tickets than regular trainers in town.
If a gym trainer doesn't want to fight you, leave and battle some regular trainers, then return to the gym to check for the rematch.

Joker's Pleatherface and Tank Commander have high power stats and their techniques consume a lot of SP, so they can deal high damage even if they are not hitting weaknesses. Your party will get destroyed if they keep getting hit by these attacks every turn.
However, you can lure the enemy into using the much weaker Slycanthrope instead. Since it's a Frost type, put some Blaze Sujimon into play so that Slycanthrope will be the one attacking..

After you defeat Joker, new Super evolutions will be unlocked for a few select Sujimon. These Super evolutions require more materials to evolve than usual.
After completing the substory, a Sujimon League Committee Agent member will appear in front of the gym. Talk to him to receive 10 Sujimon League Committee Members, which can be used to awaken Sujimon.
Your Sujimon max level becomes Lv. 50 after defeating Joker.
Other unlocks include better odds of triggering a bonus raid, better items in Suji Spots, and being able to spar with platinum opponents. The Sujimon Stadium also has new challenges available.
You will also now be able to start the substory to battle King.
