Enables Follow-Up and Tag Team Moves

Doing drink links would increase your bond level with the character you are doing drink links with. This proves you with a lot of benefits tied to bond levels like follow-up attacks and tag team attacks.

The 5th Drink Link Gives You Gear

Watching the fifth and final drink link of that character would reward you with costumes and a weapon unique to the exclusive job of that character. This weapon is usually the base weapon requirement when crafting the powerful 7-star weapon of that job!

Increases Personality & Awakening Levels

In addition to the two above, choices in each drink link would increase Kasuga's personality level and Kiryu's awakening levels. Depending on your response, you could even focus on a certain personality to increase!

How to Unlock Drink Links

Raise Your Bond Level by 10

To unlock drink links for each character, you have to raise their bond levels by 10 to a maximum of 50 - meaning, there are a total of 5 drink links per character. A drink link will unlock every ten (10) levels so aim to increase their bond levels thru other ways!

Kiryu Has No Drink Link

Though Kiryu can increase his bond level with Kasuga, Kiryu has no Drink Link. Kiryu is considered as a deuteragonist in this game so you will be playing as him sometime from Chapter 8.

Talk To Your Friends in Bars

To initiate drink links, you have to go to the home bar of your area and interact with the character you want to do Drink Links with. The character would have a double-heart icon (similar to the bond icon) over their heads if they're available for a drink link.

Do note that you cannot replay drink links again when done so save before proceeding if you're aiming for a specific personality trait.
