Before the arrival of the Iceborne Expansion, Monster Hunter World was dominated by weapons that could be paired with the Non-Elemental Boost skill. The Diablos Tyrannis II was one of these weapons and was THE Charge Blade for every hunt and situation.

A Charge Blade Hunter's playstyle during this period revolved around two things: Impact Phials and The Super Amped Elemental Discharge Attack. This is where the Diablos Tyrannis II comes in. Its element being hidden allowed the use of Non-Elemental Boost to bolster its attack.

Paired with other skills such as Artillery, this made the Diablos Tyrannis II the king of Impact Charge Blades, reaching incredibly high amounts of damage that other Charge Blades could not compete with.

Best Charge Blade: MHW Iceborne

The balance between the two Charge Blade phial types is not as lopsided in the Iceborne Expansion as they were in the base game. With this in mind, these are the recommended Charge Blades for both phial types:

The True Fatalis Charger may be a new weapon that came with the Final Free Update for MHW: Iceborne but it has already soared past the competition and is already ranked amongst the very best Charge Blades.

This is due to its insanely high base attack of 1224 and two level four slots. If built around correctly, the True Fatalis Charger becomes the best Impact Charge Blade in the game.

Hunters who prefer playing around the Charge Blade's Phial Discharge attacks are recommended to add this top-tier Charge Blade to their arsenal .

The ability to upgrade Kulve Tarroth to higher ranks elevated the power level of Kjarr Charge Blades so much that they could go toe-to-toe with the very best Impact Phial Charge Blades.

Equally deadly with Elemental Discharge and Savage Axe Attacks, the Kjarr Charge Blades rule over the other Elemental Phial Charge Blades - superior in almost all elements and ailments.

All Elemental Kjarr Charge Blades have the Critical Element skill inherent to them, boosting their damage even further!

While its Attack rating is lower than Kjarr Strongarm Decay's, this is compensated by its superior Dragon element and high purple sharpness ratings.

It is safe to say that the Alatreon Morphblade and Kjarr Strongarm Decay share the crown as the best Dragon Elemental Charge Blades in the game.
