Lance Defensive Power

The unique aspect of the Lance in Monster Hunter World (MHW) is its ability to block while attacking. The combination of the shield with the lance allows for versatile and precise attacks against hard hitting mosters.

Blocking Monster Attacks

The Lance is matched with a shield that gives you the ability to block monster attacks. Even against the strongest monster, when times correctly, the shield will protect you from damage.

Counter Thrust

The counter thrust is an efficient move that allows you to counter a monster's attack with your own. This move will protect you from incoming damage while dealing damage to the monster at the same time. You can also charge this attack to deal more damage!

Dash Attack

The Lance allows the hunter to move quickly through battle with the dash attack. Though, one unique thing you can do is dash towards a monster, when you are in contact with the monster, you will continue to deal damage as you dash.
