Fire Weapon	Shrieking Legiana is weakest against fire.
Recommended Armor Skills
Ice Resistance	Building Ice Resistance to Lvl 3 can mitigate a lot of Shrieking Legiana's damage.
Blight Resistance	Shrieking Legiana can inflict Iceblight a lot. It will be worth it to get Blight Resistance to Lvl 3, especially if your weapon is a stamina-hungry one.
Earplugs	Shrieking Legiana's screech is no different from Legiana's! (Or should we say shriek?) Getting the Earplugs skill to Lvl 5 will be worth it.
Fire Attack	Shrieking Legiana can heal by covering itself in ice. Constantly attacking the icy body part with fire attacks will remove the ice, so enhancing your fire weapon's damage will be good if you have extra slots.

How to Beat Shrieking Legiana

Wider Attack Range

Most of Shrieking Legiana's attack patterns are similar to the normal Legiana variant. The only notable difference from the attacks is its range. Shrieking Legiana's attacks have a slightly wider attack range than the normal variant. If you are having a hard time hunting Shrieking Legiana, practicing against a normal Legiana can help to learn all the patterns.

Breaking Frozen Parts

Shrieking Legiana regenerates damaged parts by covering them with ice. Breaking a body part that is covered in ice will further weaken it. Be sure to keep an eye on these parts and focus on attacking them during the hunt.

It is also recommended that you use weapons with a fire affinity to greatly improve your damage against frost.

Preparing Nullberries

When you get hit by any of Shrieking Legiana's ice attacks. It is guaranteed that you will be inflicted with Iceblight, this will double your stamina consumption which can be dangerous if you need to dodge. Try to cure it whenever it is present by using a Nullberry.

Building Ice Resistance

It is highly recommended that you equip the skill Lv 3 Ice Resistance to build up 20 ice resistance and 10 defense. This will help you reduce the damage you take from any of Shrieking Legiana's ice attacks.

Ice Attack

Shrieking Legiana will sometimes shoot an ice attack that covers a wide area with multiple lines of ice in a cone shape. Try to immediately run into areas where the ice shards won't reach to avoid getting hit by the attack.

Move and Dodge

Shrieking Legiana will dive down to exactly where you were currently standing before it jumps. Make it a habit to constantly move around and never stay in one position whenever Shrieking Legiana jumps to avoid taking damage from any of its dive attacks.
