Anjanath weapons are fire weapons that cover all weapon types. The Anjanath Bow fires Spread shots while the Light Bowgun comes equipped with Sticky Fire Ammo. All its weapons also have the Rising Tide skill once overgraded to Grade 8.

Rathalos weapons also have fire weapons for all types except the Hammer. Its Bow can fire Rapid and Pierce shots while the Light Bowgun has Piercing Fire and Slicing Fire Ammo. When upgraded to Grade 8, they provide the Earplugs skill.

Rathalos Weapons Are Generally Stronger

In general, Rathalos fire weapons will outdamage Anjanath weapons as long as the monster is weak to fire. However, the Anjanath Bow and Light Bowgun can be better due to their different ammo and shot types. For the hammer, the Anjanath Hammer is your only choice for a fire weapon as of writing.

The Anjanath weapons are also more accessible as it's easier to farm and hunt compared to Rathalos, so they are more likely to be upgraded earlier.
