How to Beat Great Girros

• Use Water-element Weapons
• Attack Its Head
• Be Careful of Paralysis Attacks

Use Water-element Weapons

Great Girros' weakness is the water element, so use a weapon that has them. It is also recommended to go for the head and tail, but take note that the tail can only be broken if a severing weapon is used.

Attack Its Head

Though you can aim for the tail, it is generally recommended to stay in front of Great Girros. This lets you telegraph all its move, especially the dangerous paralysis-type moves that it will periodically use.

Be Careful of Paralysis Attacks

Great Girros is a very annoying monster to fight mostly because of its paralysis-based attacks.

Be careful and evade these attacks at all costs as tanking the brunt of the attack can stun the Hunter, leaving them defenseless for follow-up attacks.
