Dancing in the Tempest New Monsters

Kushala Daora

Kushala Daora is the first Elder Dragon to join the roster of monsters in Monster Hunter Now. You can repel and slay Kushala Daora in specific locations in the field through Elder Dragon Interceptions.

Khezu

Khezu is a Flying Wyvern appearing across multiple Monster Hunter titles. It is known to have deadly Thunder and Paralysis attacks.

Khezu appears on the field once you have unlocked them in the urgent quests for Season 2's story quest chapters.

Basarios

Basarios is another Flying Wyvern Large Monster covered with a rocky carapace. Alongside Khezu, you need to unlock Basarios first from Season 2's urgent quests.

Dancing in the Tempest New Features

Elder Dragon Interceptions

Elder Dragon Interception Points serves as the spawn point of the Elder Dragon class of monsters. It only takes place at set times of the day, and will convert a gathering point from the field into an Elder Dragon Interception point.

New Skills

Alongside Gunlance's introduction, new skills have been added to the game. Some of the newer skills include:

  • Kushala Frostwind
  • Artillery
  • Special Insurance

New Hunter Medals

New Hunter Medals have also been added for collection. Encounter and slay Season 2's new monsters to start your progress on their medals!

Season Supply Items

With newer monsters arriving, more Item Box slots are needed for their loot. An Item Box Expansion is available from the Shop, and Item Box capacity is increased as well.

Changes to On-field Monsters

Certain monsters have stopped appearing for Season 2:

  • Radobaan
  • Banbaro
  • Tzitzi-Ya-Ku
  • Odogaron
  • Black Diablos
  • Pink Rathian
  • Azure Rathalos

These monsters will only reappear on the field by completing urgent quests from Season 2's story quests.

Season 2 Pass

Monster Hunter Now's Season 2 also launched with a Season Pass. You stop gaining progress from Season 1's Pass, but you can still collect rewards from it before it goes away during Season 2's update cycle.
