Monster Hunter Now features various multiplayer access, providing various ways to play with your friends or any hunters near you. See how you can play with other players here and learn more about all the multiplayer modes in-game.
Monster Hunter Now offers a variety of ways to play with other hunters during your hunts. This is an effective way to defeat large monsters, as teaming up allows you to deal more damage compared to solo hunts. Here are all the methods you can do to access the multiplayer mode:
To play with nearby hunters, simply tap on any large monster on the field and press the ''Hunt with nearby hunters'' button. This will notify nearby hunters about your request for help and initiate a hunt for your target monster with them.
Another way to hunt with other players is to form or join an existing party. You can access this feature in the player menu and choose either to create your own party or join an existing one via QR code.
If your party is missing one or two members and you want more players to join, you can also invite nearby players to join to fill up those spots.
You can also invite other hunters via QR code when hunting monsters marked with Paintballs. You can do this as the party owner or by accepting a QR invitation from other players.
When starting hunts with other hunters, players must be within a 200m radius. Otherwise, even with QR code invitations, you won't be able to play with them.
To unlock the multiplayer mode, progress through the game until you reach Hunter Level 6. Once you reach this level, you can start hunting large monsters with any nearby hunters around your area.
Reaching Hunter Level 6 is relatively easy, as you can attain this level during the prologue, allowing you to access this feature early in the game.
Tips and Beginner's Guide
When doing urgent quests, the option to invite players will be completely disabled, even if there are nearby hunters around. The game requires you to do these hunts alone, so be explore and experiment with different builds when facing large monsters of higher difficulty.
