The Vernal Invader update will introduce the Charge Blade in Monster Hunter Now. This weapon can shift between a sword and shield and an axe. From previous games, its playstyle involves building up phials in its sword mode and unleashing powerful attacks with the axe.
Tzitzi-Ya-Ku is a bird wyvern introduced in Monster Hunter World. This monster can produce a bright light with its frills, which can stun hunters who stare straight at it.
Odogaron is a fanged wyvern also from Monster Hunter World. It has very sharp claws that can cause bleeding on hunters that get hit by them.
Deviljho is a brute wyvern and is known to invade all kinds of habitats. It's infamous for its nearly insatiable appetite and is known to attack other monsters it encounters. When enraged, its weakpoints change and it can unleash a breath attack over a wide area.
The Vernal Invader update introduces layered equipment, also known as layered armor. This lets you change the appearance of your equipped armor while retaining its stats and skills. These can be unlocked by upgrading armor to grade 6.
Another feature coming with the update is Invasions. This can happen in volatile territory where another monster can invade. Deviljho is confirmed to only appear during invasions.
Monster Hunter Now will feature a new Seasons system, starting with the Vernal Invader for Spring. There will be Free and Premium Plans that give various rewards throughout the season. Monsters will also rotate in and out with each new season, meaning monsters like Barioth will only appear again next Winter.
