List of Contents
Special Skill Level | Power | Weapon Grade |
---|---|---|
Lv. 1 / Unlock | 100% | 2 |
Lv. 2 | 105% | 6 |
Lv. 3 | 110% | 8 |
Special Skills have three levels, with higher levels having greater power. Level 1 or unlocking special skills requires at least weapon Grade 2, so some weapons already have special skills when forged. The next levels are unlocked at Grade 6 and Grade 8, which require parts from 6-star monsters and up.
Unlock Special Skills by having a high enough Grade weapon. Early on, you must Overgrade your Sword and Shield to Grade 2 to unlock the Perfect Rush Combo Special Skill. You must have this overgraded weapon equipped to use the Special Skill.
While you're equipped with a weapon with a Special Skill, the Special Gauge will be shown above your hunter's health. Dealing damage fills up the Special Gauge.
The Concentration equipment skill increases the recharge rate for your Special Gauge.
To prepare for challenging hunts, you can fill up the Special Gauge fighting Small Monsters or easier Large Monsters as the Special Gauge will carry over to your next hunt. Having a Special Skill ready should help you with the more challenging encounters.
Once the Special Gauge is filled up, tap it to unleash your Special Skill. Using your Special Skill will deplete the Special Gauge, and it can only be restored after the skill's duration.
Special Skills are powerful moves you can use during hunts once you fill-up the Special Gauge. Each weapon has its unique Special Skill you can try once you unlock those weapons.
Aside from the massive damage it provides, Special Skills will also grant you invulnerability from attacks for the skill's duration.
Therefore, Special Skills are great to use during a window of opportunity to focus on breaking a monster part or use its invulnerability to counter a monster's attack.
