Fix the spawn rate of monsters in Monster Hunter Now by performing a quick restart or checking your GPS settings. Explore various troubleshooting methods to address the issue of no monsters appearing.
There are many reasons why monsters may not be spawning when you play Monster Hunter Now. If you haven't been able to fix it, try all the steps below to see if anything resolves the issue for you.
If you're having difficulty spotting monsters in your area, consider checking your GPS settings to see if there are any issues. From here, you can check the permissions to see if they were suddenly disabled for the game. If that is the case, simply allow the game again and see if it works.
If you managed to install the game, but monsters are still not appearing, it is likely that your country is not yet supported by the game. In cases like this, it's best to just wait for future updates and hope for your country to be playable in the future.
If you installed the game through other means, despite your device not meeting the system requirements, monsters may spawn less. If possible, consider playing on another device that meets the system requirements for a smoother gameplay experience.
Compatible Devices and System Requirements
If you're playing as a passenger or moving too fast, monsters and gathering points are less likely to appear. When traveling, it's best to enable the Adventure Sync feature, as it can help you mark monsters along your way that you can fight later on. Additionally, Palico will gather items for you using the Palico Bag feature with this option enabled.
If none of the steps above have fixed the spawn rate, consider rebooting the game. Alternatively, restart your phone if possible to start fresh, as this closes everything that might be affecting the game's performance.
Small monsters spawn randomly and do not follow a specific interval. They appear within the radius of your character, so to increase small monster spawns, keep moving and explore different areas!
Large Monsters, on the other hand, spawn every 3 hours. Unfortunately, there are no other ways to force large monsters to appear aside from moving to a new area. So, if you're eager to hunt more large monsters, either explore a different area or patiently wait for 3 hours, especially if you're playing at home.
Additionally, you can check your map for any nearby large monsters. You will see their icon on the map along with their star rarity. Remember to stay safe when approaching these monsters!
