How to Beat Pukei-Pukei

• Roll to the side during its tongue attack
• Beware of poison breath attacks
• Equip Armors Pieces with Poison Resistance

Roll to the Side During its Tongue Attack

Pukei-Pukei has a wide-reaching move where it charges up and whips its tongue twice from side to side. This is can catch unsuspecting Hunters off guard, especially those that attacks after the first tongue attack.

Beware of Poison Breath Attacks

This monster inflict poison by spitting out a poisonous liquid. This can easily deplete your health especially on higher levels. Always remember that the monster can do this anytime, so evade when you can!

Huge Opening Afterwards

When you have successfully evaded the poison attack, Pukei-Pukei will be open for attacks specifically on its head! Use this chance to dish out extra damage to make the fight quicker!

Equip Armor Pieces with Poison Resistance

Considering Pukei-Pukei deals poison damage, it is also great to slot in armors that have Poison Resistance skills on them. At max level, you will be immune to poison essentially trivializing Pukei-Pukei's poison-based attacks.
