Azure Rathalos is usually available when an event featuring it is active. It will appear on the field after defeating Rathalos in the Chapter 13 Urgent Quest, but may appear as soon as you reach HR 11, depending on the event.

How to Beat Azure Rathalos

More Aggressive Rathalos

The Azure Fire Wyvern tends to fly more often compared to the regular Rathalos. As a subspecies, it's similar to Rathalos but its attacks are more aggressive. For example, it sports a deadlier fire breath that also stays on the ground longer.

Similar to Rathalos, all weapons deal more damage when hitting the head and wings. It's also noted to have a weak point at its tail tip, something the original didn't have.
