It is a known fact in Monster Hunter World: Iceborne that Radobaan's spikes are easily broken by blunt type weapons. In MH Now, we are speculating that this still applies by performing a Shield Bash with Sword and Shield or with hard-hitting attacks of a Hammer.
When Radobaan is about to unleash a powerful move, it begins to wind up. Aside from rolling towards its target, Radobaan has an attack where it slams down the ground to cause Tremors and disable a Hunter's movement while active. Utilize Perfect Dodge to avoid damage, roll to safety, and counter with chained attacks.
Radobaan has a big wind up before letting out Sleep Gas, so watch its movements carefully and find a safe spot to stand on. Keep hitting it to deal as much damage while Sleep Gas is active, then take it down once it's low on health.
The fastest way to take down Radobaan is to deal damage on its weak spots which are its head and legs. Break the spikes on those specific areas to topple the monster, expose its weak spots, and finish the hunt once it's low on health.
