Focus Attacks on Basarios's Stomach, Legs, or Tail

At the beginning of the fight, Basarios will be tough to deal damage to. Target its stomach, legs, or tail to deal damage to it.

We recommend using the Lock-On skill if you are bringing a melee weapon to a hunt.

How to Lock On

Exploit Basarios's Superheated State

As the fight goes on, Basarios will eventually enter its superheated state. Although Basarios will be able to use fire attacks, its rocky armor will soften in return, allowing you to deal more damage.

Exploit Basarios's Lengthy Animations

Basarios has a lengthy animation when digging and returning from underground. You can exploit this long animation to deal a bit more damage before evading its dangerous attacks.
