We regret to announce that we will no longer cover Monster Hunter Now as of Season 4. Redeem Codes will continue to be updated and you may keep sharing Referral Codes and Friend Codes, but other pages may be outdated. Thank you for your support!
See you again at our Monster Hunter Wilds Wiki!
Paintballs can help you mark and save monsters for a later hunt in Monster Hunter Now. Learn more about how to use Paintballs and where to get Paintballs.
List of Contents
To use a paintball, tap on the monster you want to mark, and then press the paintball button located on the right side of the screen, above the hunt buttons. After marking the monster, you'll receive a notification confirming that the monster has been marked and has departed.
Paintballs can only be used on large monsters. If you're planning to hunt small monsters, it is much better to roam around instead as this can force them to spawn. No need to use paintballs on these monsters!
Once you're ready to hunt the monsters you've marked, simply go to the paintball menu and tap on the monster you want to hunt. From here, you'll also find other monsters marked by your Palico using Palico Paintballs. If you're ready, you can also hunt these monsters as well.
You can also hunt with other players for any marked monsters you have with the multiplayer mode. Simply press the button below the solo hunt button to start inviting other hunters using QR codes.
Multiplayer Guide: How to Join a Party
When reaching certain hunter ranks, you can earn paintballs as a reward, along with other freebies like Zenny. This is more frequent during the early ranks, but starting at Hunter Rank 20, you will only receive these rewards every 10 levels.
What is the Max Hunter Rank and Level Cap?
Paintballs are available in the shop: one for 180 Gems or a bundle of 5 for 900 Gems. Several item bundles also include paintballs, so be sure to check those out as well!
