Unlocked After Howls of the Flaming King Event

Teostra is weak to Water and Ice depending on its state. Prepare to hunt it with weapons made from Coral Pukei-Pukei, Mizutsune, or Legiana materials.

How to Beat Teostra

• Beware Its Supernova

Focus on Breaking Its Head

Like Kushala Daora, you can weaken Teostra by breaking its head. This will allow ranged attacks to become effective again. It's also a weakpoint so it should work well with Weakness Exploit if you can consistently hit it.

Hunt with Water and Ice Weapons

Teostra is weak to Water and Ice but their effectiveness depends on its state. It's weak to water when using flames and weak to ice when using powder. If hunting in a group, it's best to have both elements present to cover its weaknesses.

Beware Its Supernova

Teostra's most powerful attack is its signature supernova. It's possible to perfect dodge this attack but it's safer to roll away to avoid getting hit.
