With the release of Battlefield 2042 closely coming by, the game has allowed players from all platforms to participate in an Open Beta to test the game's gameplay and features. Learn if there is a Demo to be released for the game, and whether or not it is still possible to join the Open Beta!

Unfortunately, there will be no "Demo" in the traditional sense that will be released for Battlefield 2042. This is in line with several of the Battlefield franchise's recent releases having no demo, with the last games having Demos released for them being Battlefield 2 and Battlefield 1942.

Free Weekend Trials

Despite there being no Demo for the game, it is possible that EA will launch Free Weekend Trials post-launch for Battlefield 2042. Free Weekend Trials are "demo" periods where players who don't own the game but wish to try it will have a weekend to try out the game for free.

This is a good alternative for players who are interested to try out the game but have missed the Open Beta, and who are willing to pick up the game post-launch.

As an alternative to having a Demo, an Open Beta will instead be launched for all platforms from October 6 to October 9. Players who have pre-ordered and have early access will be able to play the Beta upon its launch, while everyone else will be able to play on October 8.
