How to Use the SG-36 Sentry System Specialty

Max Range of 65m

Without being close to the Sentry Turret, its max range before detecting an enemy is around 65 meters. It has a wide 180 field of view so it's perfect for covering open areas. Keep in mind that it can only detect one enemy at a time and that it will only swap to another target if the enemy dies or if the Sentry Turret loses its line of sight.

Persistent Markers

Enemies spotted by the Sentry Turret will appear on the minimap for the entire team and will become highlighted for you. Even if the turret loses its line of sight of the enemy, the marker and the highlight will still be on them for a few seconds.

Weak to Smoke Grenades

If a smoke grenade is deployed in front of the Sentry Turret, it will not be able to detect enemies. There are some weird interactions with smoke grenades deployed from a distance, in which enemies may still get spotted through the smoke.

Unlimited Redeployment

Deploying a turret will cause the ability to enter a cooldown state. A good way to skip this and also repair your damaged Sentry Turret is by picking it up. Picking it up will instantly end your specialty's cooldown, which will let you redeploy the Sentry Turret with full HP. Keep in mind that you can only have one Sentry Turret at a time and that deploying another turret or dying will cause it to explode.

How to Use the Sentry Operator Trait and Explanation

Increases Max Range to 75m

If you stand close to any Sentry Turret, its max detection range will increase to 75 meters and will slightly increase its rate of fire. A Sentry Turret will not get boosted twice even if two Boris specialists stand next to it. You can tell if you are within range to boost a Sentry Turret's effectiveness by the circle that appears when you get close.

Best Loadouts for Boris

This loadout focuses on holding and defending sectors. If you want to stay close to the Sentry Turret to increase its effectiveness, you can use an Assault Rifle or LMG to take out enemies from mid-range while staying alive within the area by using a Medicine Crate. The repair tool is also there if you don't want to expose yourself and instead repair the turret behind a corner.

You can also use an SMG to rush targets spotted by your sentry gun and use frag or Incendiary grenades to get remove enemies hiding behind cover.

Double the turrets, double the fun! Boris' Sentry Operator trait can buff all turrets he stands close to. With this in mind, you can assign one Boris to stand close to both turrets while the other one rushes any enemies spotted by the turret.

Running a double Boris setup can help you secure a wider range in a sector if you set them apart, which is especially useful against enemies who tries to capture an undefended Sector.
