Upcoming DLC Content

Four Seasons in Year One

Battlefield 2042 is a live service game, which means that it will have regular updates that provide players with new content.

Battlefield 2042 will have 4 Seasons worth of content in the first year of its live service. The first season is planned to be released in 2022, and would contain new Specialists, a battle pass, and more Battlefield Portal content.

Gold Edition Rewards

Players who purchased the Gold Edition will receive a Year One pass, that gives them access to all incoming seasonnal content arriving in the first year of Battlefield 2042.

Preseason Content

Before the official launch of seasons, Battlefield 2042 will have Preseason updates. This includes weekly missions and rewards, new limited time modes, Creator Spotlights, and more Battlefield Portal content.

New Battlefield Portal Content

New Battlefield Portal content will also arrive during each season, which gives players more options to create their own customized Battlefield experience. This can include more classic maps and weapons, and game modes that add more gameplay variety.

Battle Pass and New Specialists

Battle Passes

Each of the 4 seasons are planned to have new battle passes, and a release of one new specialist. The battle passes will provide players with unlockable content, giving them rewards as they increase their level while playing. This includes new skins, weapon charms, playercards, and more.

New Specialists

New specialists will provide players with more characters to play. This will introduce new abilities and gadgets that can change the way you play the game and dominate in the battlefield.
