Players familiar with the game Apex Legends may find a small similarity with Pathfinder's grapple hook with this specialty. If you angle yourself correctly, you can fling yourself a little bit forward and maintain your momentum by detaching your grappling hook at the height of your trajectory.

You can detach the grapple hook by either pressing the jump button or angling yourself 90% from the attached point.
