How to Enable Voice Chat

Voice Chat Feature Not Available In-Game

Currently, Battlefield 2042 does not have an in-game voice chat feature. This means that you can only use text chat to communicate with your teammates during a game.

Use Third-Party Voice Chat Apps

If you want to have voice chat with your friends while playing the game, you can use third-party applications such as PlayStation party chat, the Xbox Game Bar, or Discord (for PC users).

For PC players, you can chat with your teammates by pressing the Enter button and typing out your messages all throughout the match. For console players, the party chat is only usable when accessing the menu screen. You can also select the range for your messages to: Team, Squad, and Party.

Crossplay Chat

By default, crossplay is turned on for Battlefield 2042. This means that using the in-game party chat system, you can already chat with your party, squad, and team, regardless on the platform you are using.

Text-Filtering

The in-game text chat also has a filtering system that replaces curse words with asterisks.
