The Ticket System allows you to consume tickets to respawn in Battlefield 2042. Learn how the ticket system and respawning works, how to obtain and use tickets, as well as what happens when you run out of tickets!

How Does Tickets System Work?

Used Upon Death

Tickets are shared items everyone on the team can use to respawn in battle. You will consume one if you die to get back on the field again. You won't be able to return to the fight if the ticket number reaches zero.

Tickets Decide the Outcome of Battle

The first team to run out of tickets will lose the match. Your team will be at an advantage if you can reduce the number of enemy tickets during battle. You can reduce their tickets by killing them and capturing and holding more sectors than them on the map.

How to Obtain Tickets

Teams will have a set number of respawns at the start of a battle. It is possible to obtain them as players capture objectives and obtain more territories around the map on certain Game Modes such as Breakthrough.

Breakthrough Game Mode Ticket Gain

Players part of the Attacking team in Breakthrough will have the chance to gain a small amount of Tickets with each objective they capture on the map.

Tickets System Tips

Stick Together and Communicate

The most basic but sometimes neglected strategy to save up respawn tickets is to stay close to your team. Players tend to back off when seeing a group of players keeping close and watching each other as they go to capture the objective. If they saw you alone, you'll probably get surrounded and die in the process, without contributing anything for your team.

Be a Level-Headed Player

Rushing in without any plan will just let you get killed. Being calm and level-headed will help you make the best possible situation happen. It will only put your team at a disadvantage if you die without gaining or helping anything in battle. Stay close to your teammates as much as possible, communicate with them, and cover each other's back to execute any plans you have in mind!

Knowing Your Role

Picking a specialist that suits your playstyle best will give you an advantage in battle and will lessen the use of respawn tickets in the process.

If you chose Maria Falck as your specialist, for example, you have to focus on healing and reviving allies, as that is what she excels at best. But if you are using Webster Mackay, you need to do a mobility-wise plays to confuse enemies and take them by surprise.

Memorize the Map

You can survive longer and capture an objective much easier if you already know every corner, route, and hidden place on the map. Though it is not something you can do right off the bat, it is still important to take note of the layout of the map as you will have to use them to move around the area.

Map Awareness

Another must-have skill to avoid dying and spending respawn tickets is map awareness. You have to have a better view of what's happening on the map so you can make predictions about what your enemies will do and where they will go next. It is something you will learn as you play and get used to a map as well!

Don't Fight Enemies on a Vehicle alone

Battlefield 2042 - Tickets Guide - Don
In Battlefield games, taking on a vehicle alone is suicide. There are better ways to fight enemies with tanks or aircraft, like using the Call-In System to get a ride of your own to fight them or attack it as a group to deal fatal damage to it. But if you don't have any teammates to call on or the Call-In System isn't available, it is best to hide and avoid fighting it.
