How to Play on Discarded

Discarded is a mostly open map with pockets of cover behind the rusting ships found across the map. These ships not only offer cover, but a nice sniping nest for those who like to play at long range.

Discarded Tips and Tricks

Conquest Tips

Capture C and D Sectors First (128-Player Map)

Your team will have better control over the map if you manage to capture the middle sectors as soon as the match starts. It will be easy to capture the surrounding sectors, and enemies will have difficulties sending reinforcements near those areas once your team holds them.

Secure B1 and B3 Sectors (64-Player Map)

Your team will have total control of the map once you secure the B Sectors. They are the ones that are hard to get but easy to defend. Even if the enemy team captures the Sector closest to your team's base, it wouldn't be a problem to recover it as you can flank them from both sides.

Use your Best Loadout

Discarded has a pretty balanced terrain, and you can use your preferred guns and equipment because of that. If you are more of a sniper player, find a good tower or high ground and start shooting enemies from there. But if you prefer close to mid-range shootouts, probably equip an SMG, LMG, or Assault Rifle and use them to fight.

Breakthrough Tips

All Sectors are Hard to Defend

The Discarded Breakthrough gives too much advantage to the attacking team. The map is big and open enough to do flanks and sneak in the sectors from behind. Attackers can also easily brute force their way in and capture the sectors.

The defending team should focus on deploying Specialists with good support and area control abilities, like Boris, Angel, Irish, and Falck, to defend the sectors well.

Don't Use Sniper Weapons when Defending

Although there are good spots for sniping on the Breakthrough Map of Discarded, it is still better to use guns other than marksman and sniper weapons when defending. It will be hard for your team to defend against enemies once they are into the sectors if you're using long-range weapons.
