How to Redeploy: The Best Time to Redeploy

Battlefield 2042 - How to Redeploy.png
Redeployment occurs after being downed and then missing out on an opportunity to get revived by a teammate in Battlefield 2042. Read on to learn how you can redeploy, the best sectors to redeploy in, and when you can go back into the fight.

How to Redeploy

Only Occurs When Killed

Redeployments only occur whenever a player is completely killed during a match – the "complete kill" status only occurs when a player forfeits the chance to be revived by fellow teammates by fast-forwarding to redeployment, or if the timer hits zero.

Fast Forwarding to Redeploy

Fast Forwarding to your redeployment makes it so that a downed player can no longer be revived by teammates and medic-type Specialists. This rushes past the point where a player can be revived and instead skips directly to redeployment, which also reduces the Ticket Count by one.

Timer Reaches Zero

Whenever a player is downed by an opposing enemy player, there will be a 30 Second window for fellow teammates to revive them. If the timer reaches zero, the downed player will get the chance to redeploy.

Redeployment Locations

There are two primary locations that players can redeploy to: a fellow squad member's location, or to a captured objective. The status of each redeployment depends on what the situation is like in each of the two locations, with certain factors such as enemy presence often preventing players from redeploying to their chosen site.

Spawn on a squadmate

The first and most valuable redeployment location is directly spawning on a squad member. If a squadmate is inside of a vehicle, and the vehicle has an empty seat available, players can redeploy directly into that vehicle.

Captured objectives

Players can redeploy to the objectives on the map that have already been captured, or at their team's "primary base". As a location has been fully captured, players can redeploy to them even if enemies are in the process of capturing it.

Best Time to Redeploy

Don't Redeploy to Objectives That Are Being Captured

Objective Marker

Objectives in the process of being captured by an enemy but was previously fully controlled by your team can still be chosen as a redeployment spot.

Before you simply select a captured objective to redeploy to, check first to see its status. Any enemy that attacks the objectives, including enemy vehicles, will show up on the redeployment screen for you to see. Generally speaking, it is not recommended for players to redeploy in contested areas unless they have other teammates to help push the sector.

Deploy Near Squadmates

Squadmates in combat cannot be chosen as a redeployment point.

A Squadmate's location is the most recommended point players can redeploy to, particularly if the chosen squadmate is in the process of moving between objectives so that players don't have to traverse a lengthy distance to move between locations.

Squadmates who are in vehicles also allow players to redeploy directly into a seat in that vehicle, provided it is open.

Check Equipment

Before redeploying, it is recommended that players check their Loadouts first. Specialists, Weapons, or Loadouts can be replaced completely. This is important to check, particularly if the redeployment location a player has chosen is surrounded by enemies or vehicles, which may require different weapos and gear to fight against.
