How to Adjust Aim Assist Settings

Adjust Aim Assist Levels

Battlefield 2042 - Aim Assist Settings

Aim assist settings can be adjusted by entering the in-game menu. In the Options Menu, go to Controller>On Foot. From there, you can see two Aim Assist options, Soldier Aim Assist and Soldier Aim Assist Zoom Snap.

Soldier Aim Assist

Battlefield 2042 - Soldier Aim Assist

Soldier Aim Assist refers to the slow down when the crosshair moves into an enemy. Increasing this makes your reticle stick to the enemy more, and lowering it makes it weaker. You can choose to adjust this if you want to improve the speed of your aim, or have more flexibility when adjusting your crosshairs to the enemy.

Soldier Aim Assist Zoom Snap

Battlefield 2042 - Soldier Aim Assist Zoom Snap

Soldier Aim Assist Zoom Snap refers to the speed in which your aim moves into an enemy target while using a scope. Adjusting this allows you to move into targets at the right pace, helping you hit mid to long-range shots better.

What is Aim Assist?

Aim assist is a feature that allows players using a controller on console and PC to have improved aiming during fights. This feature is present in most FPS games with controller support.

How Does Aim Assist Work?

Aim assist in Battlefield 2042 works by helping players move their crosshairs towards their opponents while aiming down sights or during hipfire. This will 'assist' them and help adjust their aim to hit more shots consistently. Aim assist tracks enemies within your crosshairs automatically, so there are times that enemies moving in front of you will cause your gun to move towards their direction.

No Aim Assist on Mouse and Keyboard

While aim assist works for controller players, there is no aim assist for mouse and keyboard players. This is because using a mouse gives players more precise control, which can also be adjusted in a separate control setting in the game.
