Capture and Defend Sectors Eliminate Enemies |
At the beginning of a Conquest match, depending on the Map, each team will be able to spawn at their team's Base, which is on opposite ends of the map and are points that the opposing team can't "capture."
Each map the game takes place on is divided into several sectors, with some sectors having one, or at most three, Capture Points. The goal of the game mode is to capture and deny Capture Points from the enemy, which reduces their overall Ticket Count and forces them to expend resources trying to take points away from the player's team.
Capturing a point in a sector on the map will result in a deduction of the opposing team's Ticket Count by 10. This change is permanent, with the only way to equalize Ticket Counts between teams being either elimination of opposing players or capturing/re-capturing other objectives on the map. Conversely, having a point on the map captured by the opposing team will result in a 10 point deduction to the Ticket Count for the player's team.

One other method of ensuring victory for your team is by eliminating the opposing team's personnel. This is the most direct way of reducing an opposing team's overall Ticket Count, which is how games of Conquest are ultimately won. One opponent kill is equal to one point in the Ticket Count, with a victory or loss being achieved once the counter hits zero.
Tips |

|
When capturing points or objectives on the map, it is almost always a guarantee that enemy forces will be looking to retake or capture that point for themselves.
While players can choose to head off into the next capture point, it is recommended that squads stay for a while to defend the area. This is to prevent enemy forces from capturing the point for themselves, which will just create a cycle of "take and re-take" that makes it costly for your team, ultimately taking away the limited Tickets teams have in a match.
Conquest features expansive maps with multiple objective points, places where teams can fight for control, and nooks and crannies where enemies can hide. Getting a location of enemies not only helps to protect players from enemy fire, but allies as well. Players should endeavor to scan for enemy positions before charging straight into the fire to avoid unncessary deaths and Ticket deductions.
How to Spot Enemies and Use the Ping System
Battlefield 2042 makes it difficult for players who try to set out on their own from achieving much of anything in an objective based game mode such as Conquest. Players moving from position to position are easier to pick off by members of the opposing team, so a suggested strategy for any player is to either stick to the squad they're assigned in, or move from place to place beside a group of other players.
This makes it easier to capture and hold objectives, as well as repel any enemy assault that is attempted on your group.
How to Add Friends and Create a Party
Conquest is the most basic game mode available in Battlefield 2042 that has existed as far back as the first game in the series with 1942. The objective in the game type is to essentially "outlast" the opposing team – this is done by eliminating enemies, grabbing Capture Points and their relative Sectors, as well as reducing the opposing team's Ticket Count.
Player Count | 64 (PS4 / XBOX One) 128 (PS5 / XBOX One Series X / PC) |

Variants | Multiplayer / Singleplayer |
The main point of Conquest is to allow significantly sized teams to battle against each other in the field with nearly no limits as to what they can do to gain victory. There are no limitations on the type of Vehicles, Weapons, or Specialists you can bring to battle.
Player counts vary greatly between console generations, with the PS4 and XBOX One featuring significantly smaller teams compared to the next-gen consoles in the PS5, XBOX One Series X, and PC. Nonetheless, the battles are chaotic, featuring plenty of squad-vs-squad gameplay on top of vehicle combat.
