You can unlock this quest by picking up the notice Contract: Missing Miners on the notice board at Blandare or if you examine the bodies near the Miner's Camp.

You cannot miss or fail this quest.

Contract: Missing Miners Walkthrough

Objectives
1 Go and talk to Gjarr about the contract.
2 Go to the Miner's Camp and examine the clues then follow the footprints.
3 Defeat Wham-A-Wham and talk with him to decide his fate.
4 Report back to Gjarr about the contract.

Contract: Missing Miners Choices and Best Choice

Wham-A-Wham

Kill Wham-A-Wham

If you decide to kill Wham-A-Wham, you will get increased rewards from Gjarr.

Spare Wham-A-Wham

If you decide to spare Wham-A-Wham, you will get 50 Crowns and 2 Silver Ores from Wham-A-Wham and Gjarr will reduce the rewards since you spared the troll.

Best Choice

The best choice here is to Kill Wham-A-Wham. If you kil him, you will get the Cave Troll Trophy, the relic Steel Sword Caroline, and increased rewards when reporting back to Gjarr.

  • Coat your Silver Sword with Ogroid Oil to deal bonus damage to them.
  • Cast the Yrden Sign to slow it down and attack it while it is vulnerable.
