You can unlock this quest by picking up the notice Contract: Missing Son on the notice board at Rannvaig, talking to Odhen at Rannvaig directly, or slaying the Fiend before accepting the contract.
You cannot miss or fail this quest.

| 1 | Talk to Odhen about the contract. |
| 2 | Go to Boxholm and defeat the Fiend at the castle ruins. |
| 3 | Examine the clues at the castle ruins and follow the tracks towards the Fiend's lair. |
| 4 | Kill the Fiend and examine the body the Fiend was eating. |
| 5 | Go back and report to Odhen about the contract. |
In this quest you can get more Crowns if you slay the Fiend first before talking to Odhen about the contract.
