Pick up and read the Notice Contract: Devil by the Well on the Notice Board at White Orchard. You can also get this quest by talking to Oodlan directly or going to the location of the contract at noon.

Contract: Devil by the Well Walkthrough
| Objectives | |
|---|---|
| 1 | Speak with Oodlan about the details of the contract. |
| 2 | Go to the Hovel, defeat the Noonwraith and investigate around the well. (You will only battle the Noonwraith if you arrive at the Hovel during noon.) |
| 3 | Enter and investigate inside the house east of the well. |
| 4 | Examine the rope by the well then jump into the well to look for the bracelet. |
| 5 | Go back to the well and burn the body with the bracelet. |
| 6 | Defeat the Noonwraith. |
| 7 | Loot the trophy, return to Oodlan and speak with him for the reward. |

Specter Oil
You can get all the ingredients for Specter Oil in White Orchard. You can either buy both of them from any of White Orchard's herbalists or pick up the Arenaria in front or Oodlan's house and the Bear Fat by slaying the Bear near the Place of Power in White Orchard south of the Herbalist.

You can get Bear Fat by slaying a Bear near a Place of Power south of White Orchard.
Combat Strategies
Noonwraith
- Coat your Silver Sword with Specter Oil to deal bonus damage to them.
- Cast the Yrden Sign and wait for the Noonwraith to enter the trap to make it vulnerable to physical attacks.
- When the Noonwraith splits, cast the Yrden Sign again and wait for each clone to enter the trap before attacking them.
