You can unlock this contract quest by reading the letter on the Notice Board at Velen near Inn at the Crossroads.
This quest is not failable.
| Objectives | |

| 1 | Speak to Bruno inside the Inn at the Crossroads. |
| 2 | Go to the quest location indicated on the map near the cave entrance. |
| 3 | Explore the cave using your witcher sesnses until you find the corpse lying on the ground. |
| 4 | Climb the ladder nearby and speak to the Farmer's Wife. |
| 5 | Swim through the small opening on the pond at the left side of the entrance. |
| 6 | Go deeper into the cave and kill Arachas. |
| 7 | Return to Bruno and claim your reward. |
You can use the level near the Farmer's Wife to lower the bridge near the entrance, giving you an easier access to get in and out of the cave.
Focus on killing the smaller endrega workers before trying to deal with Arachas to make the fight easier.
Not only you will receive the gold reward but you will also be able to receive the trophy from the Arachas which gives 5% chance to find additional herbs.
