In RPG MAKER WITH, you will encounter and even create multiple Skills. Setting Skill Types is a way to categorize skills. The default Skill Types are "None," "Magic," and "Special." For instance, a fireball spell can be classified as Magic.
You can edit and create Skill Types to control what skills a character or a class can use. For example, you can restrict a warrior's learnset by assigning a particular Skill Type to it.
1 | To set "Skill Types", press the ZL Button and select "Go to Database." |
---|---|
2 | Move your cursor to "Skills" and select an existing skill or create one. |
3 | Go to "Basic Settings" and select Skill Types, which is under the "Description" box. |
4 | Press the A Button and select between "0001 Magic" and "0002 Special." |
5 | Once you have chosen a Skill Type, press the X Button and select OK. |
Creating a unique Skill Type allows you to select what skills a character can learn. If you want to create a spellblade character, you can create a set of skills and assign them under a particular skill type. In this way, only this character or class can use and learn these skills.
Creating different Skill Types and assigning skills allows you to organize them efficiently. For instance, any physical attacks or skills can be assigned to the "Physical" skill type.
