How to Use Friend Codes

Add Friends From the QR Code Screen

1 Monster Hunter Now - Hunter Profile Button
Tap your profile at the bottom left side of the screen.
2 Monster Hunter Now - Profile Screen
Tap the View button on the profile screen.
3 Monster Hunter Now - Friend Code QR Screen
Add friends via code or QR scan.

You can add a friend by typing in their 12-digit Friend Code or by scanning their QR code. They'll have up to 7 days to accept your request, otherwise they won't be added. You can have up to 400 friends, including those from other Niantic apps.

Unlocks at HR 6

The ability to share and use friend codes is unlocked at Hunter Rank (HR) 6. Progress through the prologue to unlock this feature alongside referral codes.

Monster Hunter Now - Friend Benefits

You can view the Hunter Rank and equipment of any friends you've added. You'll also be able to see how many times you've hunted together.

  • No submissions that are offensive toward other users.
  • No slander or harassment.
  • No posting of images that violate public standards.
  • Refrain from submissions irrelevant to this board.
  • No posting of the same contents repeatedly.
  • No advertising for other sites or apps.
  • No posting for finanical gain (via RMT, etc.)
