Braska's Final Aeon (Second form) does not drop any equipments.
The battle will have 2 Parts, Tidus will also have access to talk which will deplete the Boss's Overdrive gauge but can only be used two times. If you don't have the added power from the sidequests and feel like the boss is impossible to beat, refer to our easy strategy.
The Yu Pagoda not only increases the Final Aeon's Overdrive gauge, it also removes negative buffs. They however, cannot remove negative buffs applied to them (unless they are destroyed and resurrected).
Jecht Beam | Damages a target and inflicts petrification. |
---|---|
Triumphant Grasp | This is his Overdrive for Phase 1. Deals high damage and inflicts zombie. |
Jecht Bomber | This is the Overdrive he uses against Aeons. It deals moderate damage to to its target. |
Ultimate Jecht Shot | His Overdrive when his HP starts to get low during Phase 2. Deals massive damage to all party members. |
During phase 2, he has an AOE attack that deals high damage to all party members and inflicts delay.
Do not use Talk. Use Slowga to gain more time from the Pagoda's Powercharge. Debuffs are not that effective as the Pagodas will remove the debuffs from the Boss. Buffs are necessary such as Regen, Protect, and Rikku's Mega Vitality. Stoneproof Armor is also a must to negate Jecht Beam's Petrify effect. Once the setup is done, defeat the first form. (When the Boss's Overdrive bar is filled up, summon an Aeon then use shield to tank the damage of Jecht Bomber.)
Keep up the same strategy, don't kill the Pagoda's as their resurrection will remove the slow debuff which can make the battle harder. Keep Everyone's HP with Mega potion/Al Bhed Potion/Mega Elixir. If Rikku is the frontlines then you can Mix a Dark matter(rarely stolen from Marlboro Menace) with any attribute Sphere to use Sunburst to inflict almost 20k damage. Follow it up with a megaflare from Bahamut to Burst down the 2nd form.
This strategy is really effective but it takes several items and abilities to make it work.
400000 Gil, and the ability Bribe is needed. Go to the Calm Lands and look for a Malboro. Use Bribe on it and increase the bribe amount to 400000. The battle will end then you will gain atleast 2 Wings to Discovery.
Start the Battle against Jecht with a full overdrive gauge on Rikku. Mix 2 Wings to Discovery to gain Trio of 9999 which makes all healing and damage you deal equal to or more than 9999 damage for all participating characters. Keep using Gems or grenades to continually damage Jecht to end the battle. Beware as the buffs disappear when your character falls in battle.
