Negator prevents the usage of magic and Aeons in this battle. Crawler then has a high strength value which can deal massive damage to units when hit.
Magic Negation (Passive) | Disables the use of magic and summoning Aeons in this battle. Can be disabled by destroying the Negator. |
---|---|
Crawler | Deals high damage to a single unit. |
Mana Beam | Damages the whole party Needs to charge for a few turn before being used. |
Negator have two ways to be battled. A no magic run which will make you not care about its mana beam. or a strategy where you remove negator and burst down the crawler.
The first strategy is to keep the negator alive and use stolen lightning and electro marbles from the lightning plains. Use reflex(if learnt) to dodge the gatling guns and keep your HP up with restorative items.
The other one is to quickly kill the Negator and summon Ixion. Charge up Ixion's Overdrive attack and use Thor's Hammer against it. It will retaliate with Mana Beam and Assault barely keeping Ixion alive. You can then use Ixion's Thunder on itself to heal it back to full health and charge another Thor's Hammer to finish the fight.
