Anima Boss Battle Guide

Anima

Details

Anima is Seymour's Aeon. Anime is a boss battle which can be hard with its instant death if fought without an Aeon.

Moveset

Pain Inflicts instant death or damage if target is immune to instant death.
Boost Increases Anima's overdrive gauge by a flat amount.
Oblivion Deals massive damage to the whole party
Oblivion is used if Anima's overdrive gauge is full when it's turn comes.

Anima uses the ability Pain which kills a party member instantly when hit. It also uses boost but unlike the ordinary boost. Anima's boost will increase its Overdrive gauge by a flat amount. Its overdrive Oblivion deals damage to the whole party.

Strategy

It is best to follow Tidus's Advice in the game and summon the new Aeon. ???? will easily be able to take the damage of Pain and not die instantly as Aeons are immune to death. Keep attacking Anima or use your Overdrive if available. You can also use ????'s ice magic on herself to heal her.
