This is a guide to Handicraft Contest, a Contest Festival held on Autumn 3 in Rune Factory 5. Learn how to win Handicraft Contest and all the prizes available for 1st place, 2nd place, 3rd place, and participation.

You can begin the Handicraft Festival Festival by talking to Simone at the Festival Grounds from 11 AM to 6 AM. Apart from being able to start the festival from her, you can also gain other information such as the Festival rules and who the most likely winners are for the contest.
To enter the Handicraft Contest, choose a piece of equipment or an accessory as an entry for the contest. It doesn't matter if it's a weapon, or some type of armor, any type of equipment is okay.
As the name of contest implies, it is better to submit equipment or accessories that you have made yourself. A very rare and expensive item that you bought or found can still lose to a lower-tier handmade item.
The overall score that you receive for the item submitted is based on four factors.
| Handmade Recipe | Your overall score will receive an extra 200 points if you item was crafted by you. Lower quality items that are handmade will often score higher than bought or found items that are higher and quality. |

| Item Skill Level | The Crafting Skill level required to create the item that you submit will be multiplied by 3 and added to your total score. |
| Material | The Level of Materials used in the creation of the item will to multiplied by 4 and added to your score. |
| Enhancement | You will add 8 points to your overall score for every enhancement you add to your item when crafting it. |
 By Autumn, you should have enough Recipes and Materials to easily win this contest. Even the most simple items have a high chance of winning on youn first time. |
Since the Handicraft Contest occurs in Autumn, it is very easy to win first place in the first year if you have been progressing the story. Not only should you have access to a variety of crafting recipes, but also various materials for enhancing any items that you make.
SInce the Handicraft Contest encourages you to make something, it is only appropriate that the reward would encourage more crafting. You receive Recipe Bread for participating in the contest, which will help you craft equipment and other items in the future.
