This is a walkthrough and story guide for Forest of No Return in Rune Factory 5 (RF5). Read on to learn more about how to reach and complete Forest of No Return, important items to pick up, and strategies for defeating the Boss Monster!

Inside Forest of No Return
| 1 | Make your way east to Forest of No Return 2F ★ Avoid hitting the large mushrooms as they will inflict status effects on your characters. ★ Obtain Mediparalyze on the small path northwest of the area. |

1. Avoid Hitting tMushrooms
Large mushrooms scattered all over the Forest of No Return can inflict various status effects when hit. Since they are placed in areas infested with monsters, try to remove them while attacking monsters from a distance.
4. The Townsfolk Will Be Cursed
After clearing the Forest of No Return and reporting back to Livia, all of Rigbarth will be inflicted by a curse. All stores won't be functional with the curse active, so make sure to do or buy everything you need before returning to Livia.
Additionally, the next dungeon is designed to gradually deplete your RP. Before triggering the event, make sure to stock up on RP recovery items.

Spam Gatling Comet from a distance
Deader Tree can be defeated by spamming Gatling Comet, a magic spell that you can obtain from a chest by clearing the previous area. This boss moves slowly and only uses close range attacks during the first phase.
Once its HP goes down to less than half, it will move to the second phase and start using long range attacks. You can try to dodge these attacks, but it won't really do much damage if you're at least lv80 with good armor.
