How to Raise Friendship Level

Raising your Friendship Level with other characters in Rune Factory 5 (RF5) unlocks different events and perks. Best Method to Raise Friendship Level

Select to Go on an Adventure With Chosen Character

Hold the R button during the conversation and select “Let's go on an adventure together” to form a party with the character you want to raise the friendship level. Note that this can be done only with characters with whom you have a minimum friendship level of 3.

Since the party can be organized with up to 3 people, it is best to invite up to the maximum number of people to raise friendship levels with multiple characters.

Livia and Yuki cannot be invited

Take note that you cannot invite Livia and Yuki to go on an adventure with you.

Obtain Companion mark to invite characters with Friendship Level 2 or lower

How to Get	Capture 3 wanted 1-star criminals.

Although inviting characters to go on an adventure is only unlocked at Friendship Level 3, you can invite characters with whom you have Friendship Level 2 or lower once you have obtained the Companion Mark. We recommend that you get the Companion mark during the early stages of the main quest by capturing 3 wanted 1-star criminals.

Warp to Your Room and Fall Asleep to Trigger Timeskip

After inviting the character to your party, warp to your room and sleep. Since friendship level is raised every hour spent in a party, you can quickly raise friendship level by sleeping and skipping time. You can repeat this time skip method as much you as want.

It takes longer to raise friendship levels with characters with higher friendship levels

With characters with higher friendship levels, friendship level increases at a slower rate using the time skip method.

Gifting handmade food raises friendship levels at a high rate, so ideally you should be gifting handmade favorite food of these characters. Be sure to make handmade food successfully and give them to the character.

Unlock Adventures at Friendship Level 3 and higher

Receive birthday gifts from villagers with Friendship Level 5 and higher

Dating and Marriage

Once you can date a character, you may marry them once your Friendship Level has reached at least Level 10. Apart from the Friendship Level requirement, you must also complete Love Events to complete the steps of marriage in the game.
