Platinum can be obtained in this dungeon

You can start mining Platinum from Platinum ore deposits inside the Thundering Wastes. These minerals are required to forge the highest tier of Farm Tools.

How to Beat Medusa

Battle Tips
・Has quick and hard to predict attacks ・Bring recovery items and Antidotes ・Use your Seal Spell when possible

Bring recovery items and Antidotes

Medusa can unleash quick attacks that are quite difficult to predict, so prepare to get hit a lot and bring HP and RP recovery items. Its tentacle attack can inflict Poison so be sure to also bring Antidotes or use the Medipoison spell.

Use your Seal Spell when possible

Stay locked onto Medusa throughout the battle and keep your eye on the red circle in the middle. When the lock icon disappears, press ZR to throw a Seal Spell and restrain Medusa for a while. Use this chance to land attack combos or cast your strongest spells.

Tips for Clearing Thundering Wastes

Raise your level to around 90 Craft a Rubber Poncho

Craft a Rubber Poncho

As the dungeon name implies, lightning strikes rain down all throughout the Thundering Wastes. These lightning strikes will track your movement and will deal significant damage on hit if you're using normal equipment. You can negate the damage from these lightning strikes by crafting and equipping a Rubber Poncho.

You can craft this equipment, even if you don't have the recipe, using any material under the Cloths and Skins category and a Lightning Horn. You can obtain Lightning Horns from Lightning Goblins that you can find on the very first area of the dungeon.

You will have better chances of getting one by using your Seal Spell on a Lightning Goblin first (and hope that you get a Lightning Horn by doing so, as the dropped item is random) before killing it. Once you have the material, warp back home and craft a Rubber Poncho in your Crafting Table.
