How to Reach Thundering Wastes
| 1 | Wait until 7AM, then head to the Great Tree Plaza ★ Thundering Wastes will be unlocked after the cutscene. |

Inside Thundering Wastes
| 1 | Follow the path east while avoiding the lightning strikes ★ You can negate the damage from the lightning strikes by wearing a Rubber Poncho ★ Obtain Axel Disaster near the center of the map. |

| 2 | Go around the second map while heading to the east end ★ Obtain the recipe for Legendary Sickle in the first quicksand area. ★ Obtain the recipe for Platinum Hammer in the central area. |

Platinum Can Be Mined in This Dungeon
You can start mining Platinum from ore deposits in the Thundering Wastes. These minerals are required to forge the highest tier of Farm Tools.

Bring Recovery Items and Antidotes
Medusa can unleash quick attacks that are quite difficult to predict, so upgrade your armor and bring medicine. Its tentacle attack can inflict Poison so be sure to also bring Antidotes or use the Medipoison spell.
Use Seal Spell When Possible
Stay locked onto Medusa throughout the battle and keep your eye on the red circle in the middle. When the lock icon disappears, press ZR to throw a Seal Spell and restrain Medusa for a while. Use this chance to land attack combos or cast your strongest spells.
Tips for Clearing Thundering Wastes

Craft a Rubber Poncho
As the dungeon name implies, lightning strikes rain down all throughout the Thundering Wastes. You can negate the damage from these lightning strikes by crafting and equipping a Rubber Poncho.
You can craft this equipment, even if you don't have the recipe, using any material under the Cloths and Skins category and a Lightning Horn. You can obtain Lightning Horns from Lightning Goblins that you can find on the very first area of the dungeon.
