Children are a group of NPCs that can be born out of a player's relationship with another character, typically appearing after marriage. Read on to find out how to make children, choose their names, and how much time passes for each child!

Wait for Time to Pass

When players decide that they will now make a child with their partner, they will need to wait for some time to pass between two points in the game if they wish to go for children. The first "time period" that players will need to watch out for is just 20 Days after marrying their partner. They can talk to their partner then, where the question of having a child is raised.

If players select "Yes" to this question, the process for having a child will be started. After the first child is born, players will need to wait for at least a year after giving birth to the first child before they can have another child again, with the process to do so remaining the same.

Choosing a Gender

2 Weeks after telling your partner that you wish to have a child, you can talk to your partner again to trigger an event where you'll discover that your partner s pregnant.Talking to your partner again afterwards will allow you to bring up the topic of which gender you are interested in your child having.

There are two answers that you can give (Boy or Girl), which will decide which gender your child will have. You can also just let the game randomly choose for you by picking the third option. For your second child, your choices here will unfortunately not be considered as, no matter what, you will get twins (a Boy and a Girl).

Choosing Personality

After selecting the baby's gender, players will then be given the choice of selecting their personality. You can also randomly generate the personality of your child, depending on if you've chosen that option when selecting their gender.

Names will also be determined by your choices here. For your second child, which are twins, these set of choices remain the same.

Wait Three Weeks

After deciding on the child's gender and personality, you'll need to wait for three weeks until you can talk to your partner again. Afterwards, an event will occur that will result in you giving birth to your child.

How Many Children Can You Make?

Only Three Children

You can only make three children per run of the the game, with the second and third child being twins. After the birth of the second and third child, you will not be able to make any other children afterwards.

You can take children out on adventures with you should you so wish. However, if you have more than one child, you will only be able to take one at a time.

Children will otherwise stick to their basic daily schedule, which mostly consists of exploring, bathing, or sleeping.

Can You Make Children in Same-Gender Marriages?

Children in Same-Sex Marriages is Possible

Having children while in a Same-Sex relationship is possible. Majority of the steps that players will need to take, from waiting several days after marriage and so forth, remain largely the same.

The only difference lies in the form of cutscenes and the final step to getting a child, which instead of childbirth becomes a short event where the player and their partner shall pray to a tree.
