How to Catch Wanted Monsters

Sign Up For the Quest from Livia

To go after a Wanted Monster, talk to Livia staring from 9 AM, and select I want to check the wanted monsters list to see the list of Wanted Monsters available to catch. Note that you have to talk to Livia to hunt a Wanted Monster. Only after doing so will the Wanted Monster appear in the set location.

Head to the Set Location

When you sign up for the Quest, you'll be told the general area where the Monster might be located. You'll know when you've found as it will be shown with a red aura and a Wanted Monster icon above its head as shown in the picture above.

Lower the Monster's HP

While not required, it is recommended to lower the monster's HP before capturing it. The lower the monster's HP, the easier it is to catch. Just make sure to not accidently kill the monster by lowering it too much.

Use Failed Dishes to Weaken Monsters

A Failed Dish is the result of botched cooking attempts and cause you to lose HP when you eat it. This same rule applies to monsters, so use any Failed Dishes that you make as a means of weakening them.

1	Approach a monster while holding a Failed DIsh and press 'A' when you see the 'GIVE' prompt.
2	The monster that eats it will lose HP

Giving Failed Dishes to monsters to weaken them is a good way of putting the item to use. As the amount of damage dealt is rather low, you can easily lower a monster's HP without killing it.

Captured Wanted Monsters Give More Seed Points when Their Remaining HP is High

Capturing Wanted Monsters will reward you with SEED Points upon each successful capture. The amount of points earned is based on the Capture Difficulty, as well as the remaining HP of the monster when it is caught. A monster that has more HP upon being captured, as well as a higher Capture Difficulty, will earn you more points.

The Base Score is based on the Wanted Monster's Capture Difficulty. The higher the Capture Difficulty, the higher the Base Score.

Capture using Spell Seals

You capture Wanted Monsters using your Spell Seal. While lowering the monster's HP makes it easier capture, take caution that you don't fully defeat the monsters as it will result in failing the mission. If you this happens, you will have to take the quest again from Livia.

You will be able to use the Spell Seal after sompleting a request from Livia that appears once you complete the Whispering Woods Story Mission.

How to Unlock Perfect Ranger Wanted Monsters

Obtain the Perfect Ranger Rank

A new Wanted Monster list becomes available upon obataining the rank of Perfect Ranger. While there are only 3 monsters on this list, the rewards you receive for capturing them vary. The level of each monster is the same, but their location is randomly chosen between the three main areas.

Farm SEED Points by Capturing Wanted Monsters

Livia will reward you with 200 SEED Points, a Golden Dragon Claw, and a Golden Scale each time you capture the 3 Wanted Monsters on the list. Since you can capture these monsters as often as you like, this is a good method for farming SEED Points later in the game.
