This is a guide to Valentine's Day, a Festival held on Autumn 12 in Rune Factory 5. Learn what you can do on Valentine's Day, as well as how to give and receive cookies!

Similar to other Festivals such as Beach Day or Seaside Lights, Valentine's Day is an event that does not have a contest held throughout the day. Instead, this day is when Cookies are generally handed out.
You can both give an receive receive cookies from NPCs, as well as take someone out on a date during this event.
Things to Do On Valentine's Day
Dating
For players seeking to date their special someone on Valentine's Day, they will have to ask the character out at least a day before the 12th of Autumn. You can even further increase your Friendship Level with your partner by giving them a cookie yourself!
The only caveat to this is that players must already be dating a character of their choice before they can ask them out on a date to Valentine's Day itself.
Giving Cookies
You can also give out your own cookies to any person you'd like to raise your Friendship Level with. Handing out cookies to your special someone on this particular day will help to greatly increase your Friendship Level with them.
To give cookies, you must have baked them beforehand and give them to a character on Valentine's Day itself. To receive them, simply talk to a Female character to receive cookies from them. If your Skill is too low to create Cookies, and you wish to give Cookies anyway, take the Cookies you receive from other characters and give them to your character of choice.
You Can Tell Someone You're Serious
When giving cookies to someone you're not dating, you will get prompted with a question about your "seriouness". If you select that you're serious about the gift, it will raise the Friendship Level up tremendously.

Like the 1st comment said, it's not just the ladies that give you cookies. Idk if this was copy-pasted from one of the older games, but you can be gay in this one, so some rules are quite a bit different.
