This is a guide to Tricky Treats, a Contest Festival held on Autumn 19 in Rune Factory 5. Learn how to win Tricky Treats and all the prizes available for 1st place, 2nd place, 3rd place, and participation.

Tricky Treats is summertime contest festival that players can participate in, with the contest being similar to the Cooking Contest with a small twist. At 11 AM onwards, talk to Simone at the Festival grounds to begin the contest.
How to Win at Tricky Treats
Create Dishes for the Kids
The main objective of the contest is to have either Hina or Julian "like" the dishes that you serve them. You can learn which character will be the judge for the contest by talking to Simone beforehand.
You can base your dishes around "sweet" desserts that you can make with the proper ingredients – these will then be based around whether or not you've made the dish yourself, used Pumpkins as an ingredient, and the overall complexity of the dish.

Pumpkin Flan is one dish that is relatively simple to make with simple ingredients needed. It will, however, generate enough points for you to win the contest.
You can tell whether the judge likes your dish or not based on the comments they make when trying your dish. In cases where you receive insufficient points for a complete win, simply reload the game and try again until you get the desired results.
Use Pumpkin as an Ingredient
One great way to bump up your numbers in the contest is to use a Pumpkin in the dish that you are making. For the first year, a combination of a simple dish, Pumpkin as one of its ingredients, and a dish that either Hina or Julian like is a good enough way to earn the top rank.

All dishes submitted to Simone for the contest are judged on whether it was the player who made the dish, whether or not it has Pumpkins as one of its ingredients, and the complexity of the dish (on top of whether or not the dish is the judge's favorite). For the first year, players will need at least 230 Points or more to win.
