To get better farm tools, you need to mine ores from dungeons. These dungeons are unlocked by progressing the main story. You could also get these ores from random chests.

Raise Forging Skill

You also need to raise your Forging skill to craft better farm tools. This can easily be done by using Scrap Metal or Turnip seeds on the recipe with the highest RP cost. With enough time, you will have a high Forging skill.

How to Quickly Level up Forging Skill

Recipe Is Not Required

You do not need to unlock recipes to use them. As long as you put the correct materials, the item will be crafted.

However, you still need to meet its minimum Forging level requirement. Save before trying to craft in case you put the wrong materials.
