This is a walkthrough and story guide for Basara's Hideaway in Rune Factory 5 (RF5). Read on to learn more about how to reach and complete Basara's Hideaway, important items to pick up, and strategies for defeating the Boss Monster!

| 4 | Wait until 10PM, then go to the Great Tree Plaza |
| 5 | Follow Ryker to the north of your farm ★ Map and fast travel will be blocked for this part. |
| 6 | Head northwest to Kelve Volcanic Region |
| 7 | Approach the sealed entrance and enter Basara's Hideaway |
| 1 | Smash the east wall and activate the switch ★ Beware of monsters in this dungeon that can inflict instant death! |

| 2 | Head south, take the east path first, and activate another switch behind a cracked wall ★ Obtain Grand Spike by defeating all monsters in the room. |
| 3 | Now take the west path and activate the third switch |
| 4 | Head south and defeat Green Kaiser |
| 5 | Follow the path to 2F, head all the way south, and defeat the Dark Lizard |
| 6 | Activate the switches at the end of the west and east paths then head south to 3F ★ Obtain Master Cure by clearing the west room. |

| 8 | Proceed to the next room for a cutscene |
| 9 | Report back to Livia |
| 10 | Rest on your bed |
You can find diamond ore deposits inside Basara's Hideaway. Smash them with your hammer to obtain Diamonds, which you can use to forge high level weapons.

The first boss of Basara's Hideaway, Green Kaiser, can unleash quick attacks that are difficult to anticipate, especially if you're too close. Prepare your strongest long range magic and attack the boss from a safe distance.
Stay alert at all times as it can also use long range attacks. Though they don't deal as much damage as its melee attacks, try to keep your character healthy to avoid getting taken out in an instant.

The boss' breath attack can inflict the Poison status that will continuously deal damage to your character until it's removed. Bring some Antidotes or use the Medipoison spell to remove this status effect as soon as you can.

Avoid being greedy and wrap around the boss each time it prepares an attack. The move that you should watch out for the most is its trampling attack, which can deal high damage on each hit.
The Volcanic Dragon isn't as fast as the two previous bosses so dashing around it before attacking is enough to take it down.

The Dark Orcs and Soyrus enemies inside Basara's Hideaway have a chance to inflict instant death on each hit. If this effect procs, you will be sent straight to the clinic regardless of how high your HP is. When you see these enemies, prioritize taking them out and don't let them hit you.
Equipping items with Faint Res will reduce the chances of getting instakilled by their attacks.
